Per 1 GP for adults there were on the average 1 620 registered patients. GPs for adults performed 37.5 million examinations. Preventive examinations represent 5.6 % of the total number. Provision of primary care for adults does not change markedly in long terms, but the age structure of physicians evolves unfavourably.
