The source of information are data from National Registry of Abortions. Data on abortions are classified by place of permanent residence, marital status and age of woman, age of fetus in weeks, kind of abortion (spontaneous, vacuum expiration, other LIA, other abortion, ectopic pregnancy), type of contraception used.
The publication is based on processed data from annual reports on activity returned by health establishments. Contains information on activity and personnel capacity of health establishments in selected branches of complement – common examination and treatment units. Data are processed and presented by regions.

They are separated for natives and foreigners and classified by type of financing. The publication contains the numbers of admitted patients and days of treatment by above groups and by diagnosis groups.

The input for this publication are data of the Czech National Cancer Registry. All neoplasms except non - malignant are registered. Data on newly reported neoplasms and on deaths from neoplasms are classified by sex, selected diagnoses, age group, territory. Ten most serious neoplasms in men and women are processed down to district level. Selected diagnoses are supplemented by 5-year survival data.

The basis for processing is the annual report on out-patient care for diabetics. The publication contains data on numbers of patients and on personnel capacity of diabetological health establishments and their activity. Data are classified by sex, age group, type of treatment, always by regions.
This publication follows the series "Congenital anomalies" available with data since 1965 classified by year of report on congenital malformation, diagnosed in children aged up to 1 year, and "Children born with congenital malformation 2002" that reflected the change of the methodology of processing.
For the sake of unification with data provided to international organisations, our publications since 2004 contain data on congenital malformations in children born in the concerned years diagnosed in that or the following year, up to 1 year of the child's age. The source of information is the National Registry of congenital anomalies.
The source of information are data from the Czech Statistical Office. The publication provides detailed information on deaths and mortality classified by district, age groups, sex and diagnoses. The publication also contains standardised mortality (European standard), evolution trends and international comparison.

The publication contains information on total expenses on health services (public and private expenses), on drug consumption, the structure of costs and returns of health insurance companies, on the network of health establishments, on assets, costs and returns of health establishments, on the evolution of average salaries in health services, on economic data concerning private enterprises in health care (physician's offices) and pharmacies, on evolution of prices in health care, data on health services from the statistics of national accounts and international comparison on the basis of Eurostat, OECD and WHO statistics.
The publication contains a selection of indicators characterising the economy of hospitals. The source of data is a statistical forms about the economics of health establishments filled in by hospitals according to binding instructions of the National Health Information System and processed by IHIS CR.
The aim of the publication is to present information on the economic situation in health care and its trends, in the form of time series, in context with the development of the overall economic environment, and to provide it to health professionals as well as to the wide public. The present issue contains a digest of available economic information from various sources. Macroeconomic information from Czech Statistical Office, information on expenditure on health and on health insurance first of all from Ministry of Health, and from General Health Insurance Corporation. The area of health care providers is covered by Institute of Health Information and Statistics using data of the National Health Information System. Further data are obtained from State Institute for Drug Control and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The basis for international comparison is the database OECD Health Data.
The publication has been published since 1998 under the title "Trend of macroeconomic and health indicators".

The sources of information for this publication are data on hospitalizations in acute beds in hospitals in CR from the National Registry of Hospitalized Patients. Data are classified by major diagnostic categories, DRG groups, sex, age, length of hospitalization in days, region of patient’s residence and region of health facility and by case mix index calculated on the basis of codebook of relative weights published Ministry of Health CR.
Contains survey of activity of bed care establishments in the CR and in regions. Data on bed funds, personnel capacity, numbers of hospitalised persons, on the length of stay and exploitation of maximum and actual bed capacity by types of establishment are supplemented by time series.

The basis for statistical processing of data in this publication are mandatory "Report on infectious disease" collected by bodies of the Public Health Protection and provided to Co-ordination Centres for Health Information Systems (CCHIS). Data on infectious diseases are classified by diagnoses, age groups, regions, month of begin of disease.
The source of information are data from the Czech Statistical Office, data from National Registry of Mothers at Childbirth and from National Registry of Newborns. The publication contains information on health of mothers and newborns. It has two separate parts: 1. Report on mother at childbirth, 2. Report on newborn. It follows earlier separate publications "Report on mothers at childbirth in 1994-1996" and "Report on newborns in 1994-1996". It contains data from the current year and time series.
The publication annually informs about the state of the network of health establishments and on the extent of provision of health care in the CR (on numbers of physicians and of other health personnel, bed capacity of health establishments), including pharmaceutical services and public health services. Data are taken from the Registry of Health Establishments maintained by IHIS CR. Data are classified by territories, types of health establishments and their founders and by branches of provided health care.
The source of information are data from the Czech Statistical Office. The publication contains detailed data on births (live, still), children deaths and infant mortality (till 1 year of age), classified by vitality, birth weight, sex, region and district of residence, age and cause of death. Since 1998 the publication is supplemented by trend of indicators of newborn and infant deaths till 1 year of age.

The sources of information in this publication are report forms on the network and bed funds of psychiatric institutions, reports on out-patient care in branch of psychiatry and data from the National Registry of Hospitalized Patients. Tables present indicators of activity of out-patient psychiatric establishments by regions.
The basis for processing are mandatory „Reports on causes and circumstances of accomplished suicide“. Notified cases are classified by age groups, sex, means, motive and place, psychiatric diagnosis, marital status, time (hour/day/month) of suicide and permanent residence.
The publication is processed from data contained in the National Register of Cardiac Surgery (NRCS). Data on all cardiac surgery operations performed at cardiac surgery workplaces in the Czech Republic are compulsorily registered.
Administration of the Register is delegated by Act no. 101/2000 Sb. to Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic (IHIS CR), the Register is a part of the National Health Information System (NHIS). Processing of the Register is delegated by Act no. 101/2000 Sb. to the Coordination Center for Departmental Medical Information Systems (CCDMHS). The publication was issued by IHIS CR in cooperation with CCSHS and with the Council of NRCS.
The publication is processed from data entered in the National Register of Cardiovascular Interventions (NRKI). Mandatory registration applies to all performed interventions in catetrisation laboratories in the Czech Republic. Detailed data are registered on percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) with regard to basic clinical data, initial diagnosis, procedural data and character of interventions performed. Particularly important are data on deaths, which are correlated with the registry of deaths (mortality is presented as hospitalisation mortality, 30-day mortality and total annual mortality). Also registered are extra-coronary types of interventions performed in cardiological facilities.

The source of information for this publication are data on incapacity for work (IFW) provided by Czech Administration of Social Security. Statistics connected with IFW differs from other surveys and morbidity statistics by its close relation to economy.

Published data on epidemiological situation in TB are taken from the information system of the Institutions of Public Health Protection - the TB Registry. Also included are data from other information systems, on malignant neoplasms of respiratory and intrathoracic organs, data on deaths, data on out-patient and in-patient care in TB-RD therapeutic institutions, on incapacity for work and on the network of health establishments engaged in problems of TB-RD.

The source of information are data from the information system of the Institutions of Public Health Protection - Registry of venereal diseases. The publication summarizes all epidemiological reports concerning new cases of venereal disease and deaths from venereal disease on the territory of the CR. Notified new cases are classified by individual diagnoses, age, sex and patient’s residence.
