3rd Edition, Czech version (ICD-O-3 CV) ISBN: 80-7280-373-5 Translation of International Classification of Diseases for Oncology, 3rd Edition (English original, 2000). It presents a revised system of codes and terms used in coding the topography and the histological image (morphology) of neoplasms. It stabilises the taxonomy of neoplasms on the basis of their histopathological and biological characteristics and facilitates standardisation of nomenclature. The publication amends the previous 2nd edition. The topographic part of the 3rd edition derived from Chapter 2 of ICD-10 remains the same as in the 2nd edition. Also the codes for biological behaviour and grading have not been substantially changed. Significantly revised is the part of ICD-O-3 CV dealing with morphology. Changes concerning mainly non-Hodgkin´s type lymphomas, leukaemia and biological behaviour of some neoplasms. The rules for correct coding are also desribed in detail. |
