Translation of TNM Classification of Malignant Tumours, 6th edition, 2002. TNM is the most widely used system of classification of the extent of cancer. The 6th edition of the TNM classification of malignant neoplasms presents new internationally approved standards for the description and categorisation of the staging and proliferation of tumours. It contains new updated organ-specific classifications in treatment of patients with tumours, for adequate classification, therapy and prognosis.
