This publication maps the field of health care in 1996 - 1998 by territories according to the new regions established as of 1.1.2000. The publication consists of chapters: Demography, Health status, Network of health establishments and Economic indicators. The chapters contain analytic text, tables and graphs. They present the latest data available, i.e., mostly from 1998, in some places also from 1996 (demography, health status, economic indicators), the chapter on health service network contains 1999 data. This allows the user to gain an overview of health establishments and health services on the territories of the newly established regions.
