European Health Interview Survey in CR - EHIS CR (Prevtive care)

Topical Information concerns preventive care. Analysis by age and gender is made from European Health Interview Survey data (EHIS CR 2008). We are pursuing vaccination against flu, measurement of blood pressure, blood cholesterol, blood sugar, and faecal occult blood test. Moreover for women we are pursuing also mammography and cervical smear test. Significant differences by gender were found only in blood pressure measurement in last 12 months - women experienced blood pressure measurement more often than men. Differences by age were found in all categories of preventive care. In general we can say that persons aged 55 years and more pay more attention to preventive care. We can also say that implementation of screening programs recommended by Council of the European Union is well aimed in the Czech Republic.
