Home care in the Czech Republic in 2009

Home care was provided by 473 facilities with about 3 thousand health professional workers in the CR at the end of 2009. Services of home care were utilized by 145 ths. clients, of them 78 % were of age 65 years or older. The service performed over 5.7 million visits of clients homes, on the average 40 visits per 1 client. In total 11.4 million procedures were performed of them 89 % reimbursed from public health insurance.
