Home care in the Czech Republic in 2010

Home care was provided by 464 facilities with more than 3 thousands health professional workers in the CR at the end of 2010. Services of home care were utilized by 143 ths. clients, of them 79 % were of age 65 years or older. The service performed over 5.7 million visits of clients’ homes, on the average 40 visits per 1 client. In total 11.4 million procedures were performed of them 92 % reimbursed from public health insurance.
