Activity of branch of gynaecology and medical care of women in 2010

The average number of physicians gynaecologists per 10 000 women in 2010 was 3.0.The total number of examinations per 1 physician and the number of registered patients per 1 physician declined. Over one half of women aged 15 to 49 years used hormonal or IUD contraception. The absolute and relative numbers of patients with newly diagnosed carcinoma increased. In 2010 there were 115 236 deliveries and 182 998 gynaecological surgeries recorded in the CR.
