Utilization of Health Care by Foreigners in the Moravskoslezsky Region in 2010

In 2010 health care in hospitals in the Moravskoslezsky region was provided to 2 769 foreigners with total costs of the respective health care 32 million CZK. Out of this number 2 012 treated foreigners were of EU citizenship. The most frequently treated patients were persons originating from Slovakia. The most frequent way of payment for health care provided to foreigners in respect of value was cash and utilization of foreign health insurance. Outstanding debts after due date for health care provided to foreigners reached 3.04 million CZK at the end of 2010.
