The publication is processed from data entered in the National Register of Cardiovascular Interventions (NRKI). Mandatory registration applies to all performed interventions in catetrisation laboratories in the Czech Republic. Detailed data are registered on percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) with regard to basic clinical data, initial diagnosis, procedural data and character of interventions performed. Particularly important are data on deaths, which are correlated with the registry of deaths (mortality is presented as hospitalisation mortality, 30-day mortality and total annual mortality). Also registered are extra-coronary types of interventions performed in cardiological facilities.
