Activity of general practitioners for adults in 2011

Primary care for adults in the Czech Republic as of 31. 12. 2011 was provided by 5 341 general practitioners for adults (in full time equivalent). Per 1 GP for adults there were on the average 1 632 registered patients. GPs for adults performed 37.5 million examinations. Preventive examinations represent 5.9 % of the total number. Provision of primary care for adults does not change markedly in long terms, but the age structure of physicians evolves unfavourably.
