Activity of branch of gynaecology and medical care of women in 2011

The average number of physicians gynaecologists per 10 000 women in 2011 was the same as in 2010. The total number of examinations per 1 physician is almost the same, the number of registered patients per 1 physician increased. Over one half of women aged 15–49 years used hormonal or IUD contraception. The absolute and relative numbers of patients with newly diagnosed carcinoma increased. In 2011 there were 107 570 deliveries and 176 399 gynaecological surgeries recorded in the CR.
