Ischaemic heart diseases - morbidity and mortality in the Czech Republic in 2003–2010, actualization

59 194 persons were admitted to hospitals in the Czech Republic for Ischaemic heart diseases (I20–I25) in 75 199 cases of hospitalization in 2010. 3 104 people died during the hospitalization. A total of 25 178 people died for these diseases in the Czech Republic. The average length of hospitalization was 6.5 days. The number of hospitalizations decreased by approximately one third between years 2003 and 2010, death rates slightly incerased.

Corrections in the number of persons for groups of diagnoses I20–I25 and I21–I22 were made in this topical information on 7th December 2012.
