By the end of the 1st half of 2012 there were 187 hospitals in the CR, with 59 052 beds (of that 49 446 acute care beds, 7 415 nursing care beds and 2 191 newborns' cots). From the end of 2011 the hospital bed capacity diminished by 2,1 % (i.e., by 1 284 beds). On the average each bed was occupied by patients in this period for 131,1 days out of the total of 182 days in this period. The average length of stay was 6,9 days.
