Tuberculosis surveillance and monitoring in Europe - report on tuberculosis cases notified in 2010

In 52 countries of the WHO European Region 389 thousand cases were registered in 2010, 4.7 % of notifications made to WHO worldwide. Data from Tuberculosis surveillance and monitoring in Europe describe a diverse epidemiological situation of TB in countries of WHO European Region and provide also the detailed overview about TB incidence in separate states. Publication contains also tables and graphs with trends of notified cases and rates in recent years. Annual Report pays attention to TB monitoring among foreigners, HIV positive persons and to results of treatment and anti-tuberculosis drug resistance.
