Out-patient health care about patients using psychoactive substance (alcohol and other drugs) in 2012

There were 38 554 users of addictive substances treated in psychiatric out-patient care facilities in 2012. Compared with preceding year the number of users decreased by 3 %. In 2012, 2 357 persons received substitution therapy in psychiatric out-patient facilities and 1 191 persons in general practitioners, which in total represent by ⅓ higher number of patients in substitution treatment then is reported into the National Register of Users of Medically Indicated Substitution Substances.
