Activity of branch of gynaecology and medical care of women in 2012

The average number of gynaecologists per 10 000 women remains relatively stable. The total number of examinations per one physician is almost the same, the number of registered patients per 1 physician increased. Over one half of women aged 15–49 years used hormonal or IUD contraception. The absolute and relative numbers of patients with newly diagnosed carcinoma increased. There were 108 351 deliveries and 181 917 gynaecological surgeries recorded in the CR in 2012.
