Utilization of Health Care by Foreigners in the Olomoucky Region in 2013

In 2013 health care in hospitals in the Olomoucky region was provided to 2 664 foreigners with total costs of the respective health care 14.88 million CZK. Out of this number 1 823 treated foreigners were of EU citizenship. The most frequently treated patients were persons originating from Slovakia. The most frequent way of payment for health care provided to foreigners in respect of value was contracting insurance in the Czech republic and utilization of foreign health insurance. Outstanding debts after due date for health care provided to foreigners reached 298 tis. CZK at the end of 2013.
