Incidence of tuberculosis in the Czech Republic in 2013

According to the TB Registry, in 2013 there were 502 cases of TB in the CR; of those 338 in men and 164 in women. The total represented 4.8 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. In foreigners there were 79 reported cases. The most frequent form was TB of the respiratory system and of lung. Morbidity was highest (absolutely and relatively) in the oldest age group 75+. 44 deaths were reported from tuberculosis. In international comparison the CR belongs to countries with low TB incidence in all its regions.
