European Health Interview Survey in CR - EHIS CR (Managing the personal care and household activities)

In this topical information we describe the limitation of respondents for health reasons in daily personal care activities and in household activities. We also observe use of help with performing of these activities. The limitation in both types of activities was more frequent among women and among persons aged 75 and more. Some help (personal assistance, technical aid or housing adaptation) was used by half of those, who reported some difficulty with these activities. The Home help care services were used, during the last 12 months before the interview, by 4 % of respondents, the most frequent used ones were meals on wheels" and transport services.
