European Health Interview Survey in CR - EHIS CR (Alcohol consumption)

This Topical information analyses the alcohol consumption during the last 12 months before the interview. During this period any alcohol was consumed by 90 % of men and 77 % of women. The alcohol consumption among men is higher if compared to women, the highest alcohol consumption was observed among men aged 35–64 years. While young respondents consume alcohol less often, but in higher rate, the older ones prefer the regular alcohol consumption on lower level. The most frequently used type of alcohol was beer among men and wine among women; Friday and Saturday are days with the highest alcohol consumption. If compared to 2002 survey, the alcohol consumption among respondents slightly increased.
