Report on newborn 2009

In 2009 there were 118 348 children live born in the Czech Republic, the crude birth rate was 11.3 live births per thousand inhabitants. The birth weight of most of born children was between 3 and 4 kilograms. More than half of children were born in 39th or 40th week of gestation. Children discharged home were most frequently hospitalised 4 or 5 days.
