Activity of branches of surgery in out-patient care in 2011
This Topical Information provides a review of activities in out-patient surgery care, including the number and type of surgical treatments and examinations, the number of injuries by age, gender or type of injury, and the number of surgeons and nurses in surgical care (in headcounts and full-time equivalents). This Topical Information also provides a basic comparison of out-patient surgical care activities in regions of the Czech Republic.
In 2011, the number of outpatient surgical care visits amounted to 11 790 526, which was nearly the same as in the year 2010. The number of treated injuries per thousand inhabitants was by app. 2 % higher than in the previous year. Average FTE (full-time equivalent) of physicians has increased by 2 % since 2010 .
